Two Taliban Insurgents Freed from Guantanamo Detention in the United States

RASC News Agency: Recently, two Taliban members were released from the Guantanamo prison in the United States and will soon return to Afghanistan. Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, revealed this information to the media on Sunday, February 11th.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior spokesperson stated, “Two individuals from the Taliban group have been released from the Guantanamo prison in the United States.” Meanwhile, Abdul Matin Qane further mentioned that these two individuals would arrive in Kabul tomorrow Mon, February 12th.

It is noteworthy that Mr. Qane has not provided additional details about these individuals, and it remains unclear how long they have been in this prison. It is worth mentioning that according to the agreement signed in Doha between Taliban leaders and representatives of the United States of America, Taliban prisoners have been gradually released from the Guantanamo prison.
