RASC News Agency: Abdul Latif Pedram, leader of the National Congress Party, has asserted in his recent remarks that only a federal republic can dismantle ethnic dominance in Afghanistan and pave the way for democracy. These declarations were issued on Saturday, Feb 3 , during the announcement of the “Afghanistan Federalists Assembly” political movement by Pedram.
According to Pedram, “Unemployment, poverty, and scarcity may be endured by the people, but disdain, indifference, condescension, and social stratification based on ethnicity, religion, and gender are not acceptable.” Pedram further articulated in this online session that the Afghanistan Federalists Assembly aims to engage in dialogue with Pashtun elites to address present challenges.
Implicitly referencing the Taliban, the former parliamentarian underscored that the perpetuation of failed political endeavors and the “Taliban’s authoritarian emirate and medievalism” have prompted the establishment of the Afghanistan Federalists Assembly. Prominent members of this assembly include Sarwar Danish, the former vice president of Afghanistan, Abdul Latif Pedram, leader of the National Congress Party, Nilofar Ibrahimi, Mohiuddin Mahdi, and Zia Aryan Nezhad, former parliamentary representatives, Hussain Yasa, a political activist, and Mohammad Rasoul Talib, an advisor to Ashraf Ghani.
This development coincides with the Taliban group’s establishment of a Taliban emirate and dictatorship in Afghanistan, following their ascendancy, wherein only members of the group are included, and the Afghanistani people’s right to choose their leaders has been seized by this group.
