RASC News Agency: Authorities of the Taliban at the local level in the provinces of Parwan and Badakhshan have confirmed that, as a consequence of two traffic incidents in these regions, four individuals lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries. Hakim Shamim, the spokesperson for the Taliban governor in Parwan province, informed the media on Monday, January 14, that a traffic incident occurred yesterday in the Siahgard district of the province, resulting in three fatalities and one injury.
According to this Taliban official, the incident transpired due to a collision between a Saracha-type vehicle and a motorcycle, leading to the loss of three motorcycle riders. Concurrently, local Taliban officials in Badakhshan province also corroborated that one person lost their life, and another was injured as a result of a traffic incident in the “Keshm” district of the province. As per an announcement from the Taliban’s security command in Badakhshan province, this incident occurred on Friday, January 12, in the “Balochha” area of Keshm district. The security command stated that the incident happened when a motorcycle collided with a Daxon-type motor, and two of the motorcycle passengers were initially injured, with one losing their life during transportation to the hospital.
Unwarranted recklessness of drivers, failure to adhere to traffic laws, road deterioration, lack of standardized roads, drivers’ unfamiliarity with certain routes, and the difficulty of some roads are believed to be contributing factors occasionally leading to traffic incidents in various provinces of the country.
