RASC News Agency: In a recent address, the Minister of Higher Education from the Taliban group underscored the current circumstances as an opportune moment to enforce “Sharia rulings.” Moreover, the Minister unequivocally voiced support for scholars engaged in this undertaking.
On Sunday, January 7th, TOLOnews reported statements from Nada Mohammad Nadeem, the Acting Minister of Higher Education from the Taliban group. Nadeem emphasized the efforts of foreign nations to manipulate public opinion, diverting individuals from Islam through negative propaganda. These assertions transpired during the 6th graduation ceremony of the Arabic language training and Imamate training institute at the Imamate Training Institute in Kabul.
The Acting Minister of Higher Education for the Taliban group accentuated the significance of the divine opportunity to disseminate the teachings of Islam. He highlighted the importance of the Emir of Ulema and the truths conveyed by the Ulema, as well as the obligation to promote virtue and discourage vice, as directed by the Emir of Muslims. Failing to seize this opportunity and effectively convey the religion of Allah to the people would incur censure from Allah, the nation, and the Muslim community.
In recent developments, the Taliban group commemorated the culmination of the sixth graduation cycle of Arabic language training, Imamate training, and the Islamic Sciences department at the Institute for Training Imams under the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs. The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 30 individuals from the Arabic language program, 80 individuals from the Imamate training program, and 47 individuals from the Islamic Sciences department.
Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that these statements unfolded against a backdrop of widespread reactions due to the Taliban’s recent arrests and abductions of girls in various parts of Kabul city. These actions were carried out under the pretext of non-compliance with veiling regulations, sparking significant public outcry and concern.
