RASC News Agency: The Swiss Embassy in Pakistan recently issued an announcement regarding its humanitarian aid endeavors for the people of Afghanistan. Shared on December 29th via the X social media platform, the embassy disclosed an allocation of $4.25 million for this initiative. The primary focus of this aid is to support the newly deported Afghanistani immigrants from Pakistan and individuals affected by the recent earthquake in Herat province.

It is noteworthy that numerous countries worldwide have already committed financial aid and resources for the people of Afghanistan, especially those impacted by the earthquake in Herat province. However, it is crucial to recognize that these contributions are being made against the backdrop of a deepening economic crisis in the country.

Reports indicate that international relief organizations have consistently expressed concerns about the humanitarian situation in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. The forced deportation of Afghanistani immigrants from Pakistan during the winter season has further compounded these crises, intensifying the challenges faced by the Afghanistani people.

Previously, the World Food Program (WFP) had appealed to international organizations for assistance in aiding the people of Afghanistan during the winter season. The WFP stressed that Afghanistani citizens are in desperate need of help now more than ever. The onset of the cold season has profoundly impacted the lives of the Afghanistani people, restricting their access to essential resources and leaving them in precarious situations in many areas.
