RASC News Agency: In the aftermath of escalating violent conduct by Taliban authorities, recent revelations from Faryab province illuminate the union between the group’s prison chief and a 13-year-old girl confined in Taliban custody. Sources within Faryab province disclosed this information to the media on Sunday, December 24th, uncovering that Mullah Sardar Bik, the Taliban’s prison chief in this region, approaches 60 years of age, purportedly with progeny spanning across multiple generations from his initial matrimony.
As per these sources, the young girl, a denizen of Belcheragh County, was apprehended nearly a month ago under allegations related to an illicit relationship with a boy and subsequently relocated to the confines of the Taliban’s prison. Sardar Bik emancipated the 13-year-old girl from imprisonment and subsequently formalized matrimony with her. According to the accounts provided by the sources, this girl is bereft of a father, and her mother, despite repeated, unsuccessful endeavors to secure her daughter’s release from the Taliban’s prison, found herself presented with a marriage proposal from the Taliban’s prison chief.
In a desperate situation to secure her daughter’s release, the mother acceded to the marriage proposal from the Taliban’s prison chief. Sources intimate that subsequent to the acceptance of Sardar Bik’s matrimonial proposal by both the girl and her mother, he pronounced the girl’s verdict in a Taliban court within a mere 15 days, culminating in their union. Additional reports suggest that this case has ascended to the Taliban’s central echelons over the course of two weeks, and despite persistent requests from the group’s officials for Sardar Bik to present himself in Kabul, compliance has yet to be observed.
Significantly, Mullah Sardar traces his origins to Gerziwan County and maintains close affiliations with Shoaib Resalat, the Taliban’s provincial governor for Faryab province. Sources indicate that he is espoused and has a wife, daughter, son, son-in-law, and a grandchild. These unfolding events transpire against the backdrop of antecedent reports highlighting the Taliban’s systemic harassment and abuse of women held within its detention facilities.
