RASC News Agency: Today, on December 24th, the Iran Fars news site published an article disclosing that Amir Khan Muttaqi addressed inquiries from reporters during a press conference. He stressed that the Taliban faces no issues with the Persian language and ensures there is no discrimination against it. Muttaqi clarified that both Persian and Pashto are acknowledged as official languages in Afghanistan, and they are dedicated to ensuring equal treatment for both languages.

Regarding the removal of Persian plaques, Muttaqi attributed it to the actions of spiteful individuals, condemning such acts as wrong and contrary to the values they uphold. When questioned about the decline of the Persian language in Afghanistan, Muttaqi assured that teaching in schools, universities, and practical centers continues in both Pashto and Persian languages, maintaining the current status quo.

However, it is crucial to note that the Taliban group has faced criticism for their actions over the past two years. They consistently removed Persian plaques in universities and other locations, replacing them with Pashto-language plaques. These actions have sparked strong reactions from the citizens of Afghanistan, who condemn the Taliban group for discriminating against the Persian language.

The Taliban’s track record in the past two years highlights their problematic stance towards the Persian language, intensifying concerns among the people. The Taliban’s actions speak louder than their words regarding their alleged acceptance of the Persian language, revealing significant prejudice and hostility towards it.
