RASC News Agency: Following the series of moral corruption scandals involving members of the Taliban in different provinces of the country, sources have recently reported that an intelligence official of the Taliban has been detained in Bamyan province on charges of moral corruption. Sources told the RASC news agency on Thursday, November 23, that the Taliban group had arrested their intelligence official on Wednesday evening for engaging in an illicit relationship with a woman in the province.
The sources referred to the intelligence official as Abdullah Ayubi, who serves as the director of the group’s intelligence agency in Bamyan province. According to the sources, the Taliban intelligence official was released from custody after several hours without any trial. Meanwhile, the RASC news agency could not confirm the accuracy of the report, but several local sources have claimed that the Taliban intelligence official was released in Bamyan by order of Mullah Abdullah Sarhadi, the group’s provincial governor.
According to insider information, Abdullah Ayubi is among the individuals close to Mullah Abdullah Sarhadi, the Taliban’s provincial governor for Bamyan province. It is worth noting that members of the Taliban have been arrested on similar moral corruption charges in the past and have been released without any trial.
In a previous incident, the group’s sports commander for Bamyan province was also detained on charges of moral corruption and released without any trial. These incidents occur while the Taliban claims to be fighting against moral corruption in society every day. However, according to sources, members of this group who are arrested on moral corruption charges are released without any punishment.
