RASC News Agency: The Head of Afghanistan’s Mission to the United Nations said that the situation of the country has not improved in the two years of the Taliban’s rule, and that the situation in humanitarian, human rights, social, security and political fields has worsened and economic and humanitarian crises have deepened.
On Tuesday, September 26, in his statement at the meeting of the security council of this organization, Nasir Ahmad Faiq said that Afghanistani women and girls under the rule of the Taliban group faced gender apartheid and all their basic rights and economic opportunities were deprived of them.
He added that in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban group, the social conditions are significantly deteriorating.
Faiq added: “97 percent of the population is currently living in poverty, and two-thirds of them struggle for basic survival.”Hunger has affected 20 million people, unemployment has increased, and migration continues despite serious risks.”
According to him, the rights and freedoms of women and marginalized communities, women and girls face severe restrictions in terms of mobility, access to education and participation in public life.
It should be noted that with the re-domination of the Taliban group in Afghanistan and the imposition of severe restrictions on the lives of citizens, especially women, international organizations and countries of the world have always expressed their concern about the widespread violation of human and women’s rights.
Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, under the domination of this group, women and girls have faced repressive prohibitions and violent behavior and have been increasingly oppressed.
