RASC News Agency: A young man from Parwan province alleges that he was expelled from the Taliban group at Bagram Air Base for capturing a commemorative photo with former government official Abdul Jabbar Qahraman. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, December 13th, the man, who served as an officer in the “Shahid Obaidullah Aftab Sect” of the Taliban for almost eleven months, disclosed this information. He revealed that he has now been ousted from the group.
Identified as Niaz Mohammad from Shinwari district in Parwan province, he clarified that he lacked any military background in the previous government. Additionally, he stated that the Taliban group withheld his salary for approximately four months before terminating his affiliation. Remarkably, the Taliban, known for punishing and detaining individuals associated with opposing figures, took punitive action against this young man despite their past retaliatory measures against soldiers of the former government.
Reports indicate that Abdul Jabbar Qahraman, recognized for his opposition to the Taliban, met his demise on October 17, 2018, as the group orchestrated an explosion during the election campaign in Helmand province. In an unexpected turn, the Taliban dismissed the young man for his photo with Qahraman, deviating from their past conduct of assaulting and imprisoning individuals engaged with such figures.
