RASC News Agency: Mirza Hassani, the head of “Radio Aftab” says that the intelligence of the Taliban group in Daikundi province has seized the equipment of this local radio and television “Sabzaha”.
Hassani told the media that these two private media had stopped their activities after the Taliban took over, and their equipment was kept in his house in Nili district to prevent theft.
He said that the intelligence forces of the Taliban attacked his house in Nili district about two weeks ago, in addition to the equipment of these two media, they also took away some of his household items.
In a letter, the intelligence directorate of the Taliban confirmed the seizure of Radio Aftab’s equipment.
In this letter, the local TV “Sabzaha” is not mentioned; But a source said that part of the “Sabzaha” TV equipment was in the office of Radio Aftab; because the projection of the waves of both media was done from the same antenna.
The intelligence of the Taliban group has claimed that the equipment of Radio Aftab is state-owned and after its officials fled abroad, they were used for personal use.
The intelligence of the Taliban group in Daikundi province said that the equipment captured from Radio Aftab includes five radio sets, two television screens, a radio antenna stand, two small and large generators, a camera, a fan, an electric car and a gas heater.
However, Mirza Hassani denies that Radio Aftab’s equipment is state-owned and says that the documents of this radio being private are available in the Department of Information and Culture of Daikundi Province.
Before the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, five private media were active in Daikundi province, but now only two private media are active in this province.
Officials of the private media of this province say that they have been forced to stop their activities due to the restrictions of the Taliban group and economic pressures.
Mirza Hassani, the manager in charge of Radio Aftab, who moved from Daikundi to Herat after the Taliban took over, was arrested and imprisoned by the group’s intelligence from Herat last year.
Hassasni was released after four months from the Taliban intelligence prison in Herat.
