RASC: Following the removal of Teacher Training Center (TTC) from the structure of the Ministry of Education, the deputy head of the Taliban group claimed on Tuesday, July 18, that the Taliban group had no role in the decision to liquidate teacher training institutes.
Hanafi, in a meeting with the professors of (TTC), said that the decision to cancel (TTC) was made in the previous government.
Hanafi, quoting from the Twitter page of the ARG, said: “The decision to cancel the Teacher Training Centers of the country was made during the previous administration, and no decision has been made in this regard at the moment, and all the propaganda about it is baseless.”
It is not clear which decision of the previous government this Taliban official is referring to, while no news has been published in the media about the dissolution of (TTC) in the previous government.
It should be mentioned that the Ministry of Education of the Taliban group has justified the removal of teacher training institutions in the direction of “removing duplicate, parallel structures, ineffective and unnecessary departments”.
Meanwhile, with the domination of this group in the country, the level of poverty and unemployment has increased, and with the removal of these centers, nearly four thousand people will lose their jobs.
Meanwhile, a number of employees and professors of Afghanistan’s teacher training centers have said in a meeting with the Deputy Ministry of Education of the Taliban group that they want the ministry to reconsider the removal of (TTC).
It should be mentioned that the Taliban group has promised to employ the employees of these departments in other departments of the Ministry of Education.
It should be noted that the Taliban group has always shown its hostile behavior towards academic institutions since they took over the country.
