RASC: According to the local officials of the Taliban group in Logar province, as a result of the flooding caused by heavy rain and hail, nearly 1,000 acres of agricultural land have been destroyed in Azra district of this province.
On Friday, June 30, the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Taliban group in Logar announced that these floods started in the afternoon of Tuesday last week.
However, it should be said that the exact statistics of the lands destroyed by floods in Logar are not known.
According to this directorate, the flood has destroyed most of the agricultural lands in the areas of Keswalobobar, Akbarkhel, Barachotra, Kozechotra, Janukhil, Manzwam, Tangdara and Mangloi village of Azra district of this province.
It should be mentioned that the flood occurred in Logar at the same time as the harvest of agricultural land.
This is despite the fact that last week, the Meteorological Department of the Taliban group warned of the possibility of heavy rain, lightning and floods in 10 provinces of the country.
The provinces of Badakhshan, Nangarhar and Paktika also witnessed terrible floods last week, which, in addition to the loss of life, caused huge financial losses to the local residents.
This is despite the fact that the occurrence of floods in this season of the year when most of the farmers are busy collecting their crops is not without losses.
It should be mentioned that last year’s flood in Logar province also destroyed a huge part of people’s agricultural products.
