Nearly eight million people in Afghanistan will face severe food shortages from June to December this year.

The global network of early warning systems of famine announced that agricultural production in most areas of Afghanistan will improve to some extent and the food situation of the people will improve, but there is still hunger in the areas where cultivation is not done.

According to this report, in the areas affected by drought in northern Afghanistan, the level of hunger will be higher than other areas until December.

With the arrival of the Taliban group, the economic situation of the Afghanistani people have worsened and have led to serious challenges in the economic structure of the country.

In general, more than fifty percent of the population of Afghanistan is exposed to poverty and lack of basic necessities of life, and about 59 percent of urban households in this country are in poverty.
