RASC News Agency: Local sources in Nangarhar report that an unidentified assailant has killed a Taliban member in the Kuz Kunar district of the province. Sources reveal that the Taliban member was ambushed and fatally shot this morning Tuesday, November 12, in the Bazarak area of Kuz Kunar as he returned to his post at a Taliban checkpoint. Following the attack, the assailants reportedly confiscated the Taliban member’s weapon before fleeing. Taliban officials in Nangarhar have yet to comment on the incident.

This killing follows a growing pattern across various Afghanistan provinces, where Taliban members have been consistently targeted in similar attacks. Reports of daily killings and discovered bodies continue to emerge from different regions, with numerous victims identified as Taliban members. Many of these attacks are attributed to unidentified gunmen, with motives often remaining ambiguous.

Since the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan, mysterious and targeted killings often involving influential local figures have reportedly surged. A number of citizens have accused Taliban members of involvement in some of these assassinations. Simultaneously, the Taliban themselves have frequently been the targets of attacks by unknown armed groups, with some incidents claimed by anti-Taliban resistance forces.

According to recent reports, opposition forces have claimed responsibility for over 50 attacks on Taliban members within the last three months, with incidents concentrated in areas such as Kabul, Panjshir, Kapisa, and Nangarhar. These attacks have resulted in substantial Taliban casualties and injuries.
