RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has reported that the Taliban have permitted Al-Qaeda to establish military bases, even in the heart of Panjshir. According to a report by Foreign Policy, Ali Maisam Nazary, the Head of Foreign Relations for the National Resistance Front, revealed that the Taliban have granted Al-Qaeda unprecedented privileges, including the construction of nine military bases in Panjshir a level of access that Al-Qaeda never enjoyed, even during the 1990s.
Nazary emphasized that Al-Qaeda is not the only terrorist group operating within Afghanistan’s borders. He pointed out that various other extremist groups, such as ISIS-Khorasan, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, Jamaat Ansarullah of Tajikistan, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, among others, are also active in the country. In total, these groups comprise more than 21 terrorist organizations, all of which are operating with impunity under the Taliban’s regime.
The Foreign Relations Head of the National Resistance Front further stated that Al-Qaeda, which had no presence in Afghanistan in 2001, is now firmly entrenched across the country, receiving both national and political support from the Taliban terrorists. He also warned that Afghanistan has become a black market hub under the Taliban, where weapons left behind by U.S. forces are being sold and eventually find their way into the hands of other terrorist groups across the globe.
This alarming development underscores the growing concerns of neighboring countries and the international community, who have repeatedly claimed that Afghanistan has become a sanctuary for terrorism under Taliban rule. Despite these warnings, the world remains largely passive, while Western countries and regional intelligence agencies reportedly continue to funnel millions of dollars each month to strengthen the Taliban’s grip on power.
The international community’s inaction, coupled with financial support from certain quarters, only emboldens the Taliban and their terrorist allies, deepening the crisis in Afghanistan and threatening global security.
