RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front (NRF) has asserted that it conducted two attacks on Taliban forces in Parwan and Kapisa, resulting in the deaths of three NRF fighters and the injury of three others. In a press release on Thursday July 18, the NRF detailed the incidents. The first attack occurred on Tuesday evening at a Taliban checkpoint in the “Chikel” area on the outskirts of Charikar, resulting in the death of one Taliban member and the injury of two others.
The NRF report further indicated that the second attack targeted a Taliban base in Hesa Awal district of Kapisa province, resulting in the deaths of two Taliban fighters and injuring another. The NRF emphasized that its forces incurred no casualties during these operations. Previously, last week, the NRF launched an assault on Taliban forces in Kabul, resulting in the deaths of three Taliban members.
Since the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the NRF has conducted numerous military engagements against Taliban forces, achieving significant successes. Ahmad Massoud, leader of the NRF, highlighted in a recent interview the disciplined and cohesive operations of their forces, which have not suffered any losses in the past two years. The National Resistance Front is among the armed groups that intermittently engage Taliban forces across various central and northern provinces. Adopting guerrilla warfare tactics post-Taliban takeover, the NRF has been relentless in its resistance efforts.
It is notable that the Freedom Front, another anti-Taliban armed group, frequently reports on its operations against Taliban military installations. In recent attacks last week, the Freedom Front claimed responsibility for eliminating three Taliban fighters in Kabul. Taliban authorities have consistently stated that these groups have yet to seize control of any territory.
