RASC News Agency: Local sources from Badakhshan province report that natural disasters in the region have resulted in eight casualties, including both deaths and injuries. Sources informed the media on Saturday, June 29, that the incident occurred last Thursday in the Yamgan district of the province.

According to these sources, two people were killed and six others were injured as a result of the disaster, which also inflicted significant financial losses. Mawlawi Mohammad Akram Akbari, head of the Taliban’s Natural Disaster Response in Badakhshan, stated that heavy rainfall on Thursday led to substantial material and human losses, with several districts experiencing flooding.

It is noteworthy that natural disasters such as flooding have caused significant financial and human losses over the past season. Last week, similar flooding incidents affected several families in other villages of the district. Additionally, the Taliban’s Disaster Management Authority in Paktia province previously reported that a landslide in the region resulted in the deaths of seven members of one family.

According to a statement from the Taliban’s Disaster Management Authority in Paktia, the incident occurred in the “Jagourgour” area of Samkani district, with two women among the victims.
