RASC News Agency: The Taliban police in Ghor province report the killing of a man and a woman accused of “adultery” in the Mahajirin township of the provincial capital. According to the press release from the Taliban’s police command in Ghor, the incident occurred on Monday, June 10, when the male victim allegedly went to the female victim’s house with the intent of committing adultery.

The Taliban’s statement detailed that the woman’s husband used a Kalashnikov to kill both his wife and the alleged intruder. The Taliban police in Ghor described the killings as “honor-related” and added that investigations are ongoing to clarify the details of the case. The police have also arrested the suspect, a 27-year-old man, in connection with the killings.

Further details about the suspect and the victims have not been provided by the Taliban police. It is worth noting that similar incidents have occurred in various provinces before. In a related case, a man in Faryab province recently shot and killed his sister-in-law, accusing her of having an illicit relationship, and then fled the scene.
