RASC News Agency: Local sources in Samangan province have reported that thieves recently stole nearly one million Kabuli rupees from a carpet shop in the provincial capital. According to these sources, the theft occurred on Saturday night, April 20, within 200 meters of the Taliban’s first district headquarters in Aybak, the provincial capital.

The thieves targeted the carpet shop of a man named Najibullah, making away with nearly one million Kabuli rupees. The Taliban forces have yet to provide a statement regarding the incident; however, they had previously enforced a nighttime curfew in Aybak to curb criminal activity.

Reports suggest that this marks the sixth theft in Aybak in the past two weeks. These reports come as the Taliban continues to assert their success in safeguarding lives and properties across the nation during their over two years of rule.
