RASC News Agency: The World Food Program (WFP) has recently reported that it assisted 280,000 Afghanistani refugees who were forcibly deported from Pakistan. On December 18th, the organization conveyed through the X social network that it had provided both monetary and non-monetary aid to these displaced individuals. The World Food Program expressed concern for the refugees, noting that many of them lack a place to go and face uncertainty about surviving the harsh winter in Afghanistan.
Preceding this announcement, the organization had already declared its commitment to aiding expelled migrants from neighboring countries. It is noteworthy that Pakistan and Iran have assumed the responsibility of forcibly deporting Afghanistani refugees, resulting in a significant number of individuals being returned to Afghanistan. Reports indicate that around 500,000 immigrants from Pakistan and over 400,000 immigrants from Iran have been deported and sent back to Afghanistan.
It is worth mentioning that households near the border have expressed dissatisfaction with their living conditions and fear the challenges they may encounter during the upcoming winter season. Addressing these concerns and ensuring the provision of adequate support is crucial. Furthermore, experts posit that creating job opportunities for young people and ensuring the safety of lives and property can incentivize those who have left the country to return.
Previously, international organizations voiced concerns about the severe humanitarian situation in the country and emphasized the need for additional financial resources to address these pressing matters.
