RASC News Agency: Morgan McGraw, a member of the US House of Representatives, recently asserted that the Taliban is recognized as a terrorist organization. Mr. McGraw announced on Wednesday, Feb 21, that the Taliban have unlawfully detained and imprisoned an American citizen, Ryan Corbett, since 2022.

“I personally reached out to Ryan Corbett’s father and said, ‘I can’t imagine what you’re going through as a father. We’re doing everything we can to bring your son home,'” Mr. McGraw shared.

Meanwhile, American media outlets have reported that Drew Corbett, the father, mentioned that his son is held in a windowless cell and is only allowed outside for 18 minutes once a month. However, despite nearly two years since the Taliban detained and imprisoned this American citizen, they have not yet provided a reason for his arrest.

This situation arises as the Taliban, following their seizure of power in Afghanistan, have detained and imprisoned several foreign citizens for various reasons.
