RASC News Agency: The municipal authorities of the Taliban group in Khost province have announced the discovery of a mass grave near Sheikh Zayed University in the province, containing the remains of at least 100 individuals. According to statements from the Taliban municipal leadership in Khost province, the mass grave was unearthed on Monday, Feb 12, during the construction of a small water fountain in the “Salbani” square.

Officials from the Taliban municipal leadership in Khost state that these individuals were buried in their clothes, including garments of women and children. Meanwhile, sources emphasize that preliminary investigations suggest those interred in this mass grave were victims of gunshot wounds.

The identities and the timeline of the deceased remain undisclosed, amid previous discoveries of mass graves across various parts of the country.
