Afghanistan Freedom Front: Taliban Support Fuels Expansion of Terrorist Groups Across the Region

RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front has strongly condemned the recent deadly attack in Quetta, Pakistan, deeming it a troubling indicator of expanding terrorism across the region. The Front claims that with the direct support of the Taliban, terrorist groups have significantly extended their reach, gaining access to resources that enable further escalation of their operations.

In a statement issued on Saturday, November 9, the Afghanistan Freedom Front denounced the assault on a train station in Quetta, which claimed 32 lives. The statement noted that since the Taliban’s seizure of Kabul, the frequency and intensity of terrorist attacks have surged, with destabilizing effects now rippling into neighboring countries. The Front’s statement asserted that, in the absence of a legitimate and stable government in Afghanistan, terrorist organizations have acquired both expansive territory and critical resources, along with ideological support, enabling them to broaden their influence and activities on a daily basis.

Calling for an urgent, unified response, the Taliban-opposed military front stressed that addressing the current crisis demands robust regional and international cooperation to dismantle terror havens, counter the Taliban’s support, and neutralize the Afghanistan territory as a launchpad for terrorism. The Quetta suicide bombing, which targeted a train, reportedly left at least 31 people dead and injured 60 others, according to Pakistani security sources. Pakistani officials identified the attack as a suicide operation primarily aimed at military forces. Since the Taliban’s return to power, unrest has markedly intensified within Pakistan, adding urgency to calls for coordinated regional action.
