The Representative of the United Nations Spoke about Livelihood Initiatives for Afghanistani People

RASC: The new representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for Afghanistan announced what are “initiatives for the improvement, livelihood and well-being of millions of Afghansistani people”.

What they are doing on the ground is providing access to basic humanitarian services, supporting women entrepreneurs and implementing initiatives to improve the livelihoods and well-being of millions of Afghanistani, says Stephen Rodrigues, the new United Nations Development Program (UNDP) representative for Afghanistan.

He wrote on his Twitter yesterday that this service is vital for Afghans and he is doing it with responsibility and determination along with his national and international partners.

Rodrigues assumed this responsibility earlier this week.

Stephen Rodrigues is a citizen of Jamaica. After the last period of service as the representative of UNDP in Liberia, he has been selected for this duty in Afghanistan.
