RASC News Agency: Ali Maisam Nazari, the head of foreign relations for the National Resistance Front, expressed deep concern and disapproval regarding China’s decision to legitimize the Taliban group. In a message posted on the X social media on January 30th, Mr. Nazari criticized China’s actions, stating that it not only disregards the principles of good neighborliness but also poses a threat to the stability of Afghanistan and the entire region.
He emphasized that accepting the credentials of a member of the Taliban as an ambassador is a grave mistake that grants unjustified legitimacy to a group known for its destabilizing and terrorist activities. Mr. Nazari stressed that true legitimacy can only be achieved through the will and choice of the Afghanistani people.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban group had previously announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping accepted the credentials of Asadullah, also known as Bilal Karimi, along with ambassadors from 41 other countries in a special ceremony.
This move by China has raised concerns among various parties, including Mr. Nazari, who believes that it undermines the efforts of the Afghanistani people and threatens to escalate tensions within the country and the wider region. He urged China to reconsider its decision and prioritize the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the Afghanistani people’s choices in determining their own future.
Mr. Nazari’s statements highlight the importance of upholding the principles of good neighborliness and respecting the sovereignty and self-determination of nations. The National Resistance Front strongly opposes China’s attempt to legitimize the Taliban group, emphasizing that true legitimacy can only be achieved through the will of the Afghanistani people.
