RASC: The officials of the local administration of the Taliban group in Sare-Pol province say that a woman was killed by her husband in Kohistanat district of this province.

The security command of the Taliban group in Sare-Pol province published a newsletter saying that this incident happened on Tuesday, August 1, in “Ngala” village of Kohistanat district.

The news report states that the victim of this incident is a woman named Khadija, who was 25 years old and the main resident of “Jarghan” village, Kohistanat district, Sare-Pol province.

The news report added that Khadija was “suffocated” by her husband and died.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Asif Sedaqat, the security commander of Kohistanat district of Sare-Pol province, confirming this news, says that one person has been arrested in connection with this murder by the forces of this group.

According to Sedaghat, the arrested person is Khadija’s husband and the number one suspect in this case, who is now under the supervision of the forces of this group.

He did not provide any details about the identity of Khadija’s husband, but said that his case was handed over to judicial departments and investigations are ongoing.

Sedaqat has said that until now the motive and the main cause of this murder has not been determined.

This is while mysterious murders and suicides of women and girls have increased in some provinces of the country in recent weeks.

Although the motive and main factors of the mysterious murders of women and girls are not clear; but most of the suicides of women and girls are attributed to family violence.

Along with the domination of the Taliban group in the country, the unemployment rate among the family members has increased and this factor has caused the spread of poverty in the country and intensified family violence.

In addition, the Taliban group has taken away all the work opportunities of women and girls and made them stay at home.
