RASC News Agency: The recent report published by the Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) highlights the ongoing targeted attacks against the Hazara community in various regions of Afghanistan. The report, covering the period from October to December 2023, reveals that at least five separate attacks targeted Hazaras during the months of October and November. The UNAMA report sheds light on the human rights situation in Afghanistan and emphasizes the need for immediate action to address these alarming incidents.

According to the information disclosed to the media on Monday, January 22nd, the report documents several targeted attacks against Hazaras, with some of the perpetrators remaining unidentified. The Human Rights Division of UNAMA meticulously prepared this report titled “Human Rights Situation in Afghanistan” as part of its mission authorized by the United Nations Security Council.

The report specifically highlights three deadly attacks that occurred in Pul-e-Khomri, where worshipers were gathered, and in Kabul, targeting a sports club and a passenger bus. These attacks, which took place on October 13, October 26, and November 7, 2023, resulted in the tragic loss of 40 lives and left 86 individuals injured.

While ISIS claimed responsibility for these three deadly attacks, the UNAMA report also draws attention to the mysterious killings of Hazaras in Herat province, where the main culprits behind these attacks remain unidentified. It is worth noting that previous reports have referred to the attacks against Hazaras and the resulting loss of numerous lives as a “genocide of Hazara.”
