RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front, according to a newsletter published on the X social media platform, reportedly attacked the directorate of the Propagation of Virtue of the Taliban group in Baghlan province. The attack took place on Sunday night, January 14th, in the vicinity of Pul-e-Khomri city, the center of Baghlan province. The Freedom Front claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that one extremist missionary of the Propagation of Virtue of the Taliban group was killed and two other employees were injured.
The motive behind the attack, as stated by the Freedom Front, was in response to the discriminatory treatment of Afghanistani women and girls by the Taliban group. However, the local officials of the Taliban group in Baghlan province have not yet commented on the incident. It is worth noting that there has been a significant increase in attacks by opposing fronts against the Taliban group, particularly by the Afghanistan Freedom Front, as well as an escalation in violence against Afghanistani women by the Taliban group.
In a previous incident, the Freedom Front also claimed responsibility for attacking a Taliban outpost in the “Kila Gai” area of Baghlan province. The attack resulted in the deaths of two Taliban members and injuries to four others. Meanwhile, the Taliban group has been intensifying its violence against women, with recent reports of dozens of girls being arrested in different parts of Kabul city for not wearing hijab. The situation remains tense as opposing forces continue to clash with the Taliban group, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by Afghanistani women and girls.
