RASC News Agency: Ahmad Massoud the leader of the “National Resistance Front of Afghanistan” says that the Taliban group has lost its “popularity in the first period” and foreign countries have recognized this group more than in the previous period.

The leader of the National Resistance Front, enumerating some of the privileges of the groups opposed to the Taliban, asked, “Why can’t we resist like yesterday?”

Ahmad Massoud said in a virtual meeting on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Burhanuddin Rabbani, “Now everything is there except for two things: the martyred teacher Burhanuddin Rabbani and the national hero Ahmed Shah Massoud.”

The “High Council of National Resistance to Save Afghanistan” on Saturday, September 23 held the virtual commemorative conference of the 12th anniversary of the assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani, the former head of the Supreme Peace Council, virtually.

In this ceremony, Ahmad Masoud said: “Contrary to what the Taliban claim, this group is not willing to negotiate and compromise and this shows that the Taliban do not know anything about religion.”

He adds that despite the efforts of Ahmad Shah Masoud and Salahuddin Rabbani, former jihadi leaders, reconciliation and negotiation did not yield results and the ugly phenomenon called the Taliban group was born.

The leader of “National Resistance Front of Afghanistan” says that the Taliban group has misused the name “Talib” and “Madrasah” and they are trying to “badly defend” Islam and religion.

However, he also criticized the tension of the world and the region’s silence in front of the Taliban group and said that different countries were against the victory of the “Islamic Revolution of the Afghanistan People” in the past and sought to attack and overthrow it with various tricks.

Ahmad Masoud referred to the Afghanistan National Resistance Front as “the continuation of the path and goals of Ahmad Shah Masoud and Burhanuddin Rabbani” and said: “Our duty is to stand and fight against the enemy.”
