RASC News Agency: In conjunction with the commemoration of the forty-fourth anniversary of the Soviet military invasion of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban group, has unequivocally stated that Afghanistan is committed to non-interference in the internal affairs of any sovereign nation. This commitment, as underscored by Mujahid, extends beyond the borders of Afghanistan, as the Taliban expresses a steadfast dedication to refraining from intervening in the internal matters of regional countries. Moreover, the spokesperson iterates the group’s proactive stance, emphasizing a sincere commitment to fostering dialogue with nations across the global spectrum.

Nevertheless, in a broadcasted statement on Wednesday, December 27, Zabihullah Mujahid reiterated the unwavering stance of the Taliban, asserting that the group categorically prohibits any external interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs. Mr. Mujahid emphatically added, “Afghanistan does not permit anyone to trample upon our legitimate rights.” While the spokesperson for the Taliban accentuates Kabul’s active engagement with both the region and the international community, it remains noteworthy that, despite two years of Taliban governance in Afghanistan, no country, either within the region or globally, has officially accorded recognition to this group.

It is crucial to highlight that, although certain countries in the region engage in interactions and political dialogues with the Taliban, none have extended official or diplomatic acknowledgment of their relations with the group—a situation acknowledged as an inevitable reality by regional countries. Despite the concerted efforts of the Taliban over the past two years to secure international recognition and the formalization of Afghanistan’s seat at the United Nations, they have not achieved success in either endeavor.
