RASC News Agency: In the ongoing process of relocating Afghanistani citizens to Canada, the Immigration and Citizenship Office of Canada has recently announced the transfer of 338 Afghanistani citizens from Pakistan to the city of Vancouver. A communication from the Immigration and Citizenship Office of Canada on the social media platform X disclosed that these individuals were transported to Canada from Pakistan via a chartered flight on December 15th. As outlined by the Immigration and Citizenship Office of Canada, the relocated individuals will be resettled in the cities of Calgary, Saint John’s, and Windsor. The office emphasized that the handling and processing of asylum requests received in advance are currently in progress.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada had previously declared a $21 million aid package for Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan and Central Asian countries, specifying that this assistance would be channeled through the International Organization for Migration. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the Taliban’s assumption of control in the country, a considerable number of vulnerable Afghanistani citizens, confronting grave threats from this group and qualifying for asylum, have sought refuge in foreign countries, particularly neighboring Pakistan.
Reports indicate that subsequent to assuming control, the Taliban, through various actions, has engaged in vengeful conduct against civil activists and former government military personnel. In certain instances, these individuals have been subjected to detention, imprisonment, torture, and even fatalities at the hands of the Taliban. It is crucial to highlight that, as per reports, the Taliban, with respect to their violent and vengeful actions, evade accountability to any authority and persist in carrying out these actions without hindrance.
