RASC News Agency: An Afghanistani girl was killed by her fiancé in Iran, as reported by Iranian media. The incident occurred on November 30th in the Gul Shahar market in Mashhad. The victim, a 17-year-old girl, was attacked and killed by hitting 20 knives. The motive behind this act was a dispute over dowry. Iranian authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are actively pursuing the arrest of the perpetrator. It is worth noting that both the victim and the killer were Afghanistani citizens, highlighting the presence of Afghanistani refugees in Iran.

This incident is not an isolated case, as similar reports of violence against Afghanistani individuals in Iran have surfaced in the past. Just recently, on the same day as this incident, a 13-year-old Afghanistani girl lost her life in Tehran due to severe beatings inflicted by her parents for refusing to eat. Iran has become a refuge for a significant number of Afghanistani citizens, particularly following the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan. The influx of Afghanistani families seeking safety and stability in Iran has been on the rise.

The Iranian authorities are committed to addressing these distressing incidents and ensuring justice for the victims. The investigation into this particular case is underway, and efforts are being made to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this crime. The loss of these young lives underscores the importance of raising awareness about domestic violence and the need for stricter measures to protect vulnerable individuals, especially within the Afghanistani community residing in Iran.
