RASC News Agency: Within the corridors of the Taliban in Kabul, reports have emerged claiming that the group has apprehended and incarcerated four members of the National Resistance Front hailing from the city of Kabul. A spokesperson for the Taliban relayed to the media that these individuals were seized on Thursday, November 30, from the Company of Kabul city by the group. According to information gleaned from this source, one of the detainees is Bismillah Zahid, a commander associated with the National Resistance Front.
It is of significance that, as per available details, the detained individuals are residents of the Tawakh region in the Onaba district of Panjshir province. Conversely, local residents assert that Bismillah Zahid, now in custody, was a former member of the special forces under the previous government, apprehended alongside three other ex-military personnel. Sources reveal that these individuals have no ties to any resistance front, and the Taliban group allegedly detained them on charges of extortion. This development unfolds amid daily accounts of arrests, torture, incarceration, and, in certain instances, reports of the targeted killing of former military personnel by the Taliban, which are disseminated through various media channels.
It is worth highlighting that, subsequent to the Taliban’s assumption of control in Afghanistan, a substantial number of former military personnel opted to leave the country, driven by apprehension of the group, seeking refuge in neighboring nations. It should be emphasized that, contrary to their leader’s directive advocating general amnesty, the Taliban persistently detain former military personnel and relocate them to undisclosed facilities.
