RASC News Agency: Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, recently emphasized the need for increased cooperation and coordination among Central Asian countries regarding Afghanistan. During the annual meeting of deputy foreign ministers from the region, Kulubaev highlighted the significance of peace and stability in Afghanistan for the security and prosperity of the entire region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan further reported that Kulubaev expressed support for the activities of UNAMA in Afghanistan during the meeting held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Notably, the meeting did not include any Taliban officials, but Roza Otunbayeva, the head of UNAMA, provided a report on the organization’s efforts in Afghanistan.
Despite the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan, it is worth mentioning that the group has not received recognition from any country worldwide. Consequently, they have been excluded from numerous meetings due to concerns regarding human rights violations. However, it is important to highlight that earlier, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized the significance of not abandoning Afghanistan in its time of crisis. The stability of Afghanistan is crucial for ensuring stability in the entire region.
These statements come at a time when Afghanistan, under Taliban rule, is grappling with various economic, political, and social challenges. Additionally, reports indicate that the country is currently facing a new crisis involving deported immigrants. The situation in Afghanistan remains complex and requires concerted efforts from Central Asian countries to address the ongoing issues and work towards a more stable and prosperous future for the region.
