RASC News Agency: Sources from Iran have reported that a Taliban member in Isfahan has abducted 11 ex-military soldiers. The sources have informed the media that these soldiers were poisoned by a Taliban member and then transported in two Peugeot cars. The sources have revealed that the kidnapped soldiers were previously serving in national security and local police forces, and they were taken by the Taliban member to an undisclosed location.
Further information obtained from the sources indicates that four of the abducted soldiers hail from Panjshir and Parwan provinces. Upon reviewing the security camera footage, it was discovered that the individual involved in this incident was of Afghanistan origin, and the images clearly identified him as a member of the Taliban group. However, the motive behind this kidnapping remains unknown at this time.
It is worth noting that, following the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan, a significant number of former soldiers from the country have sought refuge in neighboring nations, including Iran, due to the fear instilled by this extremist group. The situation surrounding the abduction of these 11 ex-soldiers highlights the ongoing security concerns faced by individuals who have served in Afghanistan’s military and police forces.
Additionally, the Taliban is targeting Afghanistani citizens who have served in the military during the republican regime. The Taliban group has been known to detain, torture, imprison, and even kill these soldiers. However, it is worth noting that this is the first instance where Taliban members have launched an attack on these soldiers outside of Afghanistan’s borders.
