RASC News Agency: Reports indicate that the Taliban has instructed Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) fighters in Afghanistan to alter their appearance to avoid recognition. According to sourced information, the Taliban has directed their Pakistani counterparts to instruct their fighters to trim their hair and beards and refrain from wearing the distinctive headgear of Waziristan. Sources reveal that the Afghanistani Taliban factions has urged the Pakistani Taliban to patrol villages and cities in Afghanistan with an inconspicuous attire that bears little resemblance to the ordinary populace. It is noteworthy that, according to reports, the Taliban made this request following unprecedented pressure from the Pakistani government.
Sources further state that Hafiz Gul Bahadur, a leader of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, has acknowledged and agreed to the request from the Afghanistani Taliban Group, committing to implement it. Meanwhile, a source from the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan informed the media that the TTP leader has instructed their forces to present themselves like ordinary citizens. However, this claim refutes any suggestion that the Afghanistani Taliban made such a request under the leadership of the Pakistani Taliban. This development comes in the backdrop of Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar’s statement that terrorist incidents in Pakistan have surged by 60% since the emergence of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Moreover, Pakistani authorities maintain that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan militants find safe havens in Afghanistan and orchestrate attacks against Pakistan from there. Yet, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, has repeatedly refuted these claims, asserting that the Afghanistani Taliban is not responsible for ensuring security in Pakistan, emphasizing that Pakistan should secure its own safety. It is worth mentioning that Pakistan had strong ties with the Taliban; however, in recent times, due to security challenges within Pakistan and the forced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees, these relations have chilled.
