RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Farah province, a traffic accident took place in Farahrood county, resulting in the loss of six lives and injuries. Sources reported to media on Tuesday, November 21st, The incident occurred on yesterday evening when a Fielder car collided with a Cargo Truck. Sources revealed that four individuals lost their lives in the accident, and two others sustained injuries. Among the deceased was a woman. The injured individuals are currently in critical condition. Notably, the local Taliban officials in Farah province have not issued any statements regarding this unfortunate incident.

It is important to note that the frequency of traffic accidents has been on the rise in various provinces of the country. According to experts’ opinions, most of these accidents occur due to reckless driving and road deficiencies. Additionally, yesterday another accident claimed the lives of six individuals, including two women, one man, and three children, when their car overturned into a river in Garmsir county of Helmand province.

Besides careless driving and road deficiencies, other contributing factors to traffic accidents include non-adherence to traffic laws, unfamiliarity with certain routes, and the challenging conditions of some roads. It is worth mentioning that local authorities’ failure to prioritize road construction standards, as reported by Afghanistani citizens, is also a significant cause of such accidents.

Efforts must be made to address this escalating issue of traffic accidents by raising awareness about road safety, enforcing traffic laws effectively, improving road infrastructure, and ensuring that construction standards are upheld. Only through collective action can we hope to reduce the occurrence of these incidents and protect the lives of our fellow citizens.
