RASC News Agency: The Vice President of Iran has recently announced the acceptance of Afghanistani and Palestinian girls in Iranian universities. This decision was made due to the current situation in Afghanistan and Palestine. Anisa Khaz Ali, the Vice President of Women and Family Affairs of the Iranian presidency, stated that several Islamic countries have volunteered to cover the education expenses of these girls and provide necessary assistance to meet their educational needs.
The announcement was made public through an interview with Mrs. Khaz Ali, which was published on the X social network by Iranian media on Wednesday, November 15th. Despite the conditions created in Afghanistan, a number of Iranian universities have agreed to admit Afghanistani female students to continue their studies. Reports indicate that over 50,000 Afghanistani students, both boys and girls, are currently enrolled in Iranian universities.
The situation in Palestine has also resulted in a significant portion of the population, including female students, being displaced and facing an uncertain future. The attacks by Israel in Gaza have further exacerbated the situation, making it challenging for these students to pursue their education. It is important to note that the Taliban’s takeover of the government in Afghanistan has led to the closure of schools and universities for girls beyond the sixth grade. The decision of Iranian universities to accept Afghanistani and Palestinian girls demonstrates a positive step towards ensuring that these girls have access to education despite the challenges they are facing.
