RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) has announced a strategic assault on the convoy of the Taliban’s Minister of Energy and Water, Abdul Latif Mansour. The attack reportedly resulted in the death of one bodyguard and injuries to two others. In a statement released on Tuesday, January 11, the NRF, led by Ahmad Massoud, confirmed its forces executed the operation in Kabul, targeting the Taliban official’s convoy with precision.
The attack took place at approximately 3:30 PM near the northern entrance of Kabul, specifically in the Khair Khana area (17th Police District). According to the NRF, the operation left one of Mansour’s bodyguards dead and two members of the Taliban’s elite protective unit injured. The NRF emphasized that the attack was meticulously planned to avoid harm to civilians or its operatives. The National Resistance Front reaffirmed its determination to continue anti-terror operations across Afghanistan, declaring that these efforts aim to “liberate the nation from the oppressive rule of the Taliban.”
This incident follows a similar NRF operation on Sunday, during which the group targeted a Taliban checkpoint at the entrance of the Ministry of Interior. The NRF reported that the assault led to the deaths of 10 Taliban members and injuries to five others. Since the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan, the NRF has persistently conducted resistance operations against the group, inflicting significant casualties. Under Ahmad Massoud’s leadership, the NRF has pledged to sustain its efforts until Afghanistan is freed from Taliban dominance.
