RASC News Agency: The Taliban authorities have announced that Fly Dubai Airlines has resumed flights to Afghanistan after a two-year hiatus. According to a newsletter released by the Economic Deputy Office of the Taliban’s Supreme Council, the airline’s first flight took place on Wednesday, November 15th, from Dubai to Kabul. It should be noted that Fly Dubai had previously announced that it would resume flights from Dubai to Kabul in November of this year.

According to the Taliban newsletter, the resumption of Fly Dubai flights to Kabul demonstrates that the airspace of Afghanistan has returned to a safe and normal state, allowing for all types of flights. The newsletter further states that necessary facilities have been provided for all airports in Afghanistan, and standard services are being offered.

Additionally, the Taliban’s Ministry of Transportation and Aviation has stated that after four months of efforts, Fly Dubai has been granted flight permissions. This move could potentially strengthen diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries, lower airfare prices, and provide more travel opportunities for Afghanistani citizens while reducing obstacles.

Furthermore, the resumption of flights by this airline is not only significant in itself but also serves as a starting point for other international airlines to resume their flights.
It is worth mentioning that following the Taliban’s control over the country in August 2021, all international flights from Kabul Airport had been suspended for nearly two years.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that with the Taliban’s control over the country, many regional countries, citing terrorist threats, have prohibited their citizens from traveling to Afghanistan.
