RASC News Agency: According to Pakistani media reports, an Afghanistani man named Mir Afzal was killed by his wife’s ex-husband in Karachi, Pakistan. The incident took place following a verbal altercation and physical fight between the two individuals. Mir Afzal intended to return to Afghanistan along with his Pakistani wife and 14-year-old daughter. However, opposition from the woman’s ex-husband and nephew escalated the situation, leading to the fatal outcome.

It is crucial to note that the woman’s ex-husband and nephew strongly opposed the couple’s plan to move to Afghanistan. The verbal tension and ensuing physical conflict ultimately resulted in Mir Afzal and his wife being shot. Mir Afzal lost his life while his wife sustained serious injuries. Both the ex-husband and nephew of the woman reside in Charsada, Khyber Pashtunkhwa province, as mentioned in the report.

Following the incident, the bodies of Mir Afzal and his wife were transferred to the hospital, and the police have arrested one of the suspects, who happens to be the woman’s nephew. It should be noted that the forced migration of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan has intensified since the government announced that undocumented Afghanistani refugees would no longer be permitted to reside in the country.

Amidst the compelled expulsion of Afghanistani asylum seekers from Pakistan, this incident serves as a stark example. It occurred during the ongoing process of thousands of undocumented refugees being required to leave Pakistan and return to their home country. The situation underscores the challenges and risks faced by individuals amidst such forced displacements.
