RASC News Agency: In the aftermath of the escalating wave of mysterious killings in several provinces of the country, particularly in Bamiyan, Sayed Sofi Gardizi, a high-ranking figure of the Taliban’s first era, has stated that the group has been unsuccessful in ensuring the security of the people and has failed to establish nationwide security.
According to a video recording of Gardizi’s speech at the funeral of Hayatullah Khandan, a prominent influential figure in Bamiyan, which was released on Thursday November 9, he addressed the Taliban governor for the province, stating that during the 14 years of the Republic in Bamiyan, 14 instances of murder had not occurred. However, since the Taliban’s control, more than 14 incidents have taken place.

He criticized the performance of the Taliban in ensuring the security of the people and added that the group has taken no action to identify the perpetrators of any of these incidents in which 24 individuals were mysteriously murdered over the past two years. Gardizi continued to strongly criticize the Taliban governor, demanding that he uncover the murderers and individuals responsible for the killings of the 24 people in Bamiyan by any means necessary, whether it be through investigation on the ground or through the assistance of authorities.

According to information, Hayatullah Khandan, a young man from Bamiyan province, was closely associated with the Taliban governor in Bamiyan and was the head of a construction company in the province. Three months ago, he was targeted in a violent attack at his home, sustaining serious injuries from five gunshots. He was subsequently transported to Iran, but succumbed to his wounds on Saturday November 5, due to the severity of his injuries.

Meanwhile, some residents of Bamiyan province claim that since the Taliban’s control of the country, horrifying incidents, including the beheading of women and throwing their bodies by the roadside and in streams, as well as targeted and mysterious killings, have increased. However, due to fear of the Taliban, no one dares to file complaints with their authorities.
It is worth mentioning that according to the belief of some citizens, in certain cases, individuals affiliated with the Taliban themselves are involved in some of these incidents and carry out acts of murder.
