RASC News Agency: In an ongoing effort to support farmers across various provinces in the country, local officials of the Taliban group in Farah and Badghis have recently announced the distribution of aid to a total of 2,510 farmers and ranchers in these two regions.
The Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of the Taliban group in Farah revealed that on Wednesday, November 8th, they provided assistance to 2,000 farmers in the Shibkoh district of the province. This aid included modified seeds and chemical fertilizers, which were provided by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) through the UHA (United Humanitarian Assistance) for farmers. Each farmer received 50 kilograms of modified seed and 100 kilograms of chemical fertilizers.
Similarly, the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Management of the Taliban group in Badghis reported that they have supported 510 livestock owners in the districts of Qads, Muqor, Aab Kamri, and the province’s center. The aid, which consisted of 50 tons of animal feed, was distributed to the farmers of Badghis by the Holland International Committee for Afghanistan. It is worth noting that international organizations have previously provided assistance to farmers and ranchers in different provinces of the country.
It is crucial to acknowledge that a significant portion of the Afghanistan population relies on gardening, farming, and livestock farming as their primary means of livelihood throughout the country. The distribution of aid to farmers and ranchers plays a vital role in supporting their efforts and ensuring their sustainability in these challenging times.
