RASC News Agency: An explosion occurred in the Mahtab Qala area of Dasht Barchi, which is part of the sixth security district of Kabul city. According to sources, the explosion resulted in the deaths of eight people and injured 38 others.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. The terrorist group stated that the explosion, which targeted a city bus carrying civilians in the Dasht Barchi area, was the work of its members. The group specifically targeted Shia Muslims.
The attack took place on the night of Tuesday, November 7th. A car of the coaster-type, carrying civilians, was seen in the Mahtab Qala area. The Taliban group provided statistics indicating that eight people were killed, and 20 others were injured.
However, other sources stated that the number of dead and injured in this explosion was eight dead and 38 injured, including two women. The injured individuals were taken to Mohammad Ali Jinnah Hospital, which is located in the west. Two of the injured are reported to be in serious condition. Additionally, several people injured in this explosion have been transferred to the emergency hospital, along with Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan.
Earlier in the west of Kabul, there was an explosion at a stadium that resulted in the deaths and injuries of several individuals. ISIS also claimed responsibility for this attack. It is important to note that the Khorasan branch of ISIS was also responsible for attacking gatherings of Shiites, including schools, colleges, mosques, and city buses.
In the past, the ISIS group has carried out attacks on civilians, particularly those belonging to the Shia community, in various provinces of the country, resulting in a significant number of fatalities and injuries.
