RASC News Agency: Despite the forced return of a significant number of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates recently announced their donation of 20,000 tents to support these displaced individuals. According to reports, the cargo arrived at Kabul airport on the night of Monday, November 6th, and will be distributed among the deportees.
In response to this assistance, Mohammad Arsala Kharouti, the Deputy Minister of Migration and Returnee Affairs of the Taliban group, expressed gratitude while urging other nations to also extend their support to the forcibly returned refugees.
Despite the intensified expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan, and subsequent forced return of numerous households to Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates has stepped forward to provide aid.
According to the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees of the Taliban group, over the past few weeks, more than 300,000 refugees have entered the country through Torkham and Spin Boldak. These statistics highlight the urgent need for assistance, as the expelled migrants find themselves in dire circumstances and require immediate support such as water, bread, and shelter.
It is important to note that while many global authorities express their desire to halt the process of forcibly expelling Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan, the country remains steadfast in its decision. The Taliban group assumed power in Afghanistan, leading to a significant exodus of citizens who left the country for various reasons and sought refuge in neighboring nations, particularly Pakistan. Despite the challenges faced by these refugees, the recent donation of tents by the United Arab Emirates serves as a positive step towards addressing their immediate needs.
