RASC News Agency: Local sources from Kabul province have reported that the Taliban group has implemented a method to gather information about households residing in the area. In order to collect this information, the Taliban has distributed a form to households. Those who refuse to fill out the form are facing the consequence of having their water and electricity supply cut off. The form requires families to provide details such as their previous and current occupations, the number of family members, surnames, phone numbers, and even photographs.
The exact motive behind the Taliban’s actions remains unclear. However, it is worth mentioning that the group’s intelligence has also initiated the process of gathering information about soldiers from the previous government. This is being done with the assistance of community representatives. The information being sought includes the soldiers’ identity cards and the departments they were associated with.
It is important to note that since regaining control of the country, the Taliban has been involved in numerous actions against soldiers from the previous government, including arrests, torture, and even killings.
International organizations, including the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), have documented significant human rights violations committed by the Taliban during their rule. These violations primarily target Afghanistani citizens, particularly women and soldiers from the former government.
Reports indicate that the Taliban employs violent behavior and various forms of torture, such as electric shocks, in their prisons to extract confessions from detainees. As a result, some individuals have lost their lives due to the torture inflicted by this group.
