RASC News Agency: In the ongoing series of arbitrary arrests targeting Afghanistani citizens, particularly those residing in Panjshir province, by the Taliban group, a recent incident has come to light. Local sources have confirmed the arrest of a religious scholar in this region, adding to the growing list of human rights violations committed by the Taliban.

The scholar, Mawlawi Saifullah, previously served as the preacher of the “Jar Ali” mosque in Abshar district. According to sources, he was apprehended by the Taliban group in the “Jar Ali” area of Abshar district and subsequently transported to an undisclosed location.

While the exact motive behind this arrest remains unknown, there are suggestions that it may be due to the scholar’s failure to mention the name of the Taliban leader during his Friday prayer sermon. This incident highlights the oppressive nature of the Taliban’s rule and their disregard for freedom of speech and expression.

Despite the increasing number of arbitrary arrests of civilians, particularly in Panjshir province, by the Taliban across the country, no official statement has been provided by the Taliban group in Panjshir province regarding this incident. This silence raises concerns about their intentions and the safety of residents in the area.

It is important to note that the Taliban group had previously issued instructions to mosque preachers in certain provinces, demanding the inclusion of their leader’s name in their Friday prayer sermons. Such directives further exacerbate the oppressive environment created by the Taliban. Their actions extend beyond arrests and include instances of violence and aggression. For instance, reports indicate that the group was responsible for shooting four youths from Panjshir in Kabul, as well as causing the death of a civilian in Kandahar province.

As the Taliban group continues to target Afghanistani citizens, particularly those residing in Panjshir province, the situation remains tense. The arrest of a religious scholar in this region further highlights the group’s oppressive tactics and their expectation of complete loyalty and obedience from the citizens.

The motive behind this arrest is still unclear, but it is evident that the Taliban group expects complete loyalty and obedience from the citizens. The lack of response from the Taliban group in Panjshir province regarding this incident raises concerns about their intentions and the safety of the residents in the area.

Denial of the Leaders of the Taliban Group from Arresting, Torturing and Killing the Employees of the Previous Government RASC: While the Taliban group is accused of arresting, torturing, and possibly killing military and civilian employees of the previous government, the group's deputy prime minister said that the persecution of former government employees is "completely false." The Twitter page of the ARG under the management of the Taliban group announced on Sunday, July 2, the meeting of Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Acting Prime Minister of this group, with a number of generals, army corps commanders, officers, chiefs and military officials of the previous government. During this meeting, Abdul Kabir said: "Unfortunately, the media and biased people are spreading propaganda as if the employees of the previous administration are being harassed, which is completely false." According to him, due to the general amnesty by Mullah Hebatullah, the leader of the Taliban group, no one has the right to harass another person. He has claimed that a large number of civil and military officials of the previous government have returned to the country due to the efforts of the Contact Commission and they continue to live without any problems. Despite the announcement of a general amnesty by the Taliban group, this group keeps arresting, torturing and even killing military and civilian employees of the previous government, international institutions and other civilians under various pretexts. Some time ago, sources in Kabul reported that the Taliban group asked an employee of the German Institute (GIZ) to Kabul by taking his son hostage and killed him.
