RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Ghazni province, a group of Taliban has reportedly detained at least 20 individuals on charges of membership to the “Hezb-e-Tahrir” party.
Sources report to the media on Thursday, October 25, that individuals from various parts of Ghazni province have been apprehended by Taliban militants over the past week.
Furthermore, these sources added that even though a week has passed since their detention by the Taliban group, there is still no information available regarding their fate.
According to sources, the Taliban detained members of the Hezb-e-Tahrir party after these individuals organized a rally in support of Palestine.
Meanwhile, the Taliban group has not expressed any opinion regarding the detention of these individuals.
It is said that prior to this incident, the Taliban had also carried out several arrests in the provinces of Baghlan, Ghazni, Kapisa, and Takhar, accusing individuals of belonging to the “Hezb-e-Tahrir” party.
According to reports, the leader of this party in Ghazni province was killed in a suspicious incident last year.
It is noteworthy that while members of the Hezb-e-Tahrir party initially supported this group during the early days of Taliban’s rule in some provinces of the country, their activities were later banned by the Taliban, including the Jamaat-e-Islami and the Nijat party.
It should be mentioned that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has entered its fifteenth day, resulting in casualties on both sides.
In the midst of ongoing events, it is frequently observed that the Taliban group engages in the detainment and, regrettably, the execution of young individuals hailing from different regions within the nation, with a particular focus on those originating from Panjshir.
