RASC News Agency: In continuation of recent events, where women’s rights activists and civil activists have been arrested and detained by the Taliban, a group of women in Kabul has once again come forward to demand their release. The “Movement of Protesting Women for Freedom” released a statement on October 21, expressing their strong demand for the immediate release of Zhulia Parsi, Nida Parwani, Matiullah Wisa, and Rasul Parsi from Taliban custody.

It is of paramount importance to highlight the courageous act of these women gathering in a confined space in Kabul to convey their message. Their call extends beyond national borders, urging the international community to withhold recognition of the Taliban. They firmly denounce the oppressive regime imposed by the Taliban in Afghanistan and demand an end to its tyrannical rule.

The imprisonment of these brave women and civil society activists serves as a powerful testament to the nature of the Taliban group and its oppressive agenda. Their actions must be seen as a blatant violation of human rights and a clear indication of the challenges faced by those striving for freedom and equality in Afghanistan.

The “Movement of Protesting Women for Freedom” emphasizes the urgent need for a democratic government in Afghanistan, one that champions the fundamental rights and freedoms of its people. A stable Afghanistan can only be achieved through a government that ensures the inclusion and active participation of all segments of society, particularly women.

The women leading this movement firmly declare that freedom is an inherent and inalienable right for all individuals. They demand immediate and concrete measures to be taken in order to liberate these activists from the clutches of the Taliban. The persistence of the Taliban group in refusing to release these individuals, despite appeals from human rights organizations and certain authorities, highlights their disregard for basic human rights.

Throughout their rule of two years, the Taliban group has detained and subjected numerous civil activists and women participating in protests to unimaginable torture. Their control over the country has resulted in the implementation of oppressive and violent measures, specifically targeting women and girls. This horrifying reality has prompted female activists across various provinces to organize large-scale demonstrations, only to face escalating levels of violence from the Taliban with each occurrence.
